so this is our last day in bangkok =( felt quite sad that we were gonna leave bangkok, cos it means no more cheap food and nice shopping and nice hotel and slack days!

haha we really didnt wanna get out of bed that morning. the bed was really comfortable! (think i've said this before in previous posts). and no, mich and i did not share a same bed =/ haha anyway, its quite a funny photo!















so after we checked out and dumped our luggage at the hotel, we went to do massages/manicures/pedicures. haha i didnt wanna have a massage, so i went to walk around by myself after i did a pedicure. i walked around siam square, walked to MBK, chanced upon some small mall, walked to siam discovery centre etcetcetc. basically i walked a lot! and bought a lot of things at the same time =P

haha something really interesting happened on the way back from MBK. i walked through siam discovery centre, or the shopping centre close to it (i cant really remember). but suddenly i heard and saw this group of screaming girls! haha i was quite boliao and curious so i walked over to take a look. in the end it was ClickFive! haha they were in bangkok! so i err followed the other screaming fans and took out my camera, and managed to capture some shots of them =) hmm i've no idea who the individual members are though.



















and this is some cute bun thing that i bought!! haha dunno what this animal is. some porcupine? or cat? i've no idea! but it was really yummy! it had custard cream in it. but what made me buy it was cos it was so cute! couldnt resist buying it =)














we got to the airport quite early! the airport is revamped and looks really really nice! the ceiling is high and the whole place looks very spacious and clean!














haha and since it was our last dinner in bangkok, we decided to splurge! ;p so yes! the food was yummy! albeit a bit ex. haha. we ordered so much food! its a wonder we managed to gobble down everything. we had like tomyum soup, some coconut chicken thing, pad thai, pineapple rice and fried chicken with rice!!



















some photos of us during and after dinner! we were so boliao and full after dinner that we walked around the airport, and wandered into many shops! haha cant believe that mich and i played with the soft toys there! but mich was the crazy one hugging all the soft toys =P look at how happy she is with the dinosaurs and the dog! ;p



















heh looking at all these photos makes me miss bangkok even more. not only because of the cheap shopping and yummy food, but because of the excellent company! miss hanging out and slacking and relaxing and eating and going for massages and spas! glad somehow we ended up going to bangkok even though it wasnt our original plan. and glad that we stayed in such a nice hotel! haha thanx thanx claire and mich!! =) love you guys tonnes!

day 3 in bangkok!

it was our last full day in bangkok!

haha and as usual, this is our morning laziness after breakfast - refusing to get out of bed! look at mich the pig!



















we went around siam square that morning, and doing what we do best! - shopping!! haha this is some nice green pandan kueh that mich and i tried!














we went siam paragon after that! and met yinghao and stephrene! siam paragon has the nicest basement of all the shopping centres in bangkok! it has a whole floor of FOOD! those street food but sold in clean stalls. mich's favourite place =) too bad there arent photos of the food stalls cos we were too busy buying too many things to eat! haha i remember that yinghao liked some "orgasmic" kebabs thing! ;p

after lunch, we went to this mango cafe place. look at the decorations on the wall, its so cute! haha! then stephrene did something really disgusting in this cafe! (but i shall spare everyone the agony of looking at the horrible photo. i swear even yinghao was disgusted =P )

and that night, we met my uncle for dinner and some drinks =) the food was nice and really cheap as usual! we had delicious cabonara for like 10 sing dollars? ;p




























after dinner that night, me and mich went for a haircut! while claire went straight for a massage! ;p
so this is me in my new haircut. i quite liked it then! but i dunno how to style it that way ever again. anyway, cant really see my new haircut in the photo below.



















after cutting hair, we indulged ourselves in another foot reflexology! HAHA! so fun! i really love bangkok! and all the cheeaapp shopping and food!! =)

Day 2 in bangkok started off with SHOPPING at MBK!! ;p haha its a shoe's paradise! wow! this was the first shoe shop we stumbled into, and boy did we shop ourselves crazy! we each walked out with a huge bag of shoes! and got this photo at the end of our shopping spree as a souvenir ;p (luckily the photo doesnt show the huge bags we were carrying!)














im still so proud of the above photo cos i was the one who approached "her" for a photo!! HAHA! let me give an account, it was really really hilarious!
me: could you take a photo with us?
her: why?
me: take together with your shop name so we'll remember this place!
her: (in a high-pitched voice) noooooo. cannot cannot! i never put on make-up. and my hair not nice!
(she then proceeds to neaten her hair..)
HAHA! she was really cute! kept saying that she loved the earring i was wearing that day! =P
and throughout the day, we kept seeing soo many pretty ones around! its really amazing how perfect they look! =) the wonders of surgery!

haha that must be my highlight of the morning. anyway, we continued shopping around MBK and bought more stuffs! but on hindsight, i think i should have bought more clothes! then i wouldnt be buying so many more things in singapore =/

that afternoon, we went for an aromatherapy spa massage!! it was sooo relaxing! and quite cheap also! haha but not as nice as the place we went to last year when we went to bangkok ;p i forgot to take picture of the spa place this time around.

but anyway, we were supposed to meet my uncle for dinner that night. but it was raining so heavily and he couldnt get out of his office cos there was a massive jam. so we ate dinner at this restaurant that he reserved for us. and the food was excellent!! HAHA! we ate so much and were so full!! in the end we only paid like $10 sing each! =) =)
it was a small restaurant near Sathorn. the ambience was nice and the food was even nicer!!


















these were the food we ordered!! green curry! soft shell crab!! crab meat fried rice! and pad thai!!! haha so yummyyyy!! how i wish i was in thailand again, eating all the delicious cheap food! ;p



















then after dinner, it stopped raining! so we decided to go to Suanlum Night Bazzar since it was quite near to our dinner place. after being declined by many cab drivers, a tuk-tuk agreed to fetch us there for 50baht! we happily hopped on and were so excited about buying more things!!
but lo-and-behold! it started pouring again while we were on our way there!! and being in a tuk-tuk meant that we had no proper shelter! and mich and claire got their butts really wet cos they were sitting at the side! we were really unlucky with the rain in bangkok!! =( haha














this was our tuk-tuk driver who was really really amused at us cos we were making so much noise on the way there =P but he was really nice and tried to find the best least-flooded spot to drop us at Suanlum.



















we chionged the market!! and the stuff were so nice!! haha but it was more ex than some stuff at chatuchak and MBK. but still, we bought things! =P
this was a rabbit at a shop! it was really really cute and the owner let claire cuddle it! =)















it was around 10sth 11 that we dragged our tired, half-drenched selves back to our hotel. haha and after we showered and tried our new clothes on, it was watching of brainless MTV and gossiping =) that was partly our reason for not getting enough sleep each night! ;p

during the one week break, i went to bangkok to get away from singapore! staying in singapore was too sian, and i felt that i needed a change of scenery for a few days at least. so mich, claire and i left for bangkok on the sunday that the holidays started! haha around one year ago, me mich claire hs travelled to bangkok as well. except that this time, hs herself is travelling around europe so much!! but nonetheless, we still had a great great time! =)

this was bangkok airport. it looked so different from one year ago. the new airport has so much glass around it and looked so so spacious and brightly lit! =) mich n i brought huge luggages!




















we stayed at Novetel Siam Square =) it was soo nice! haha the beds were so comfortable! and the location was so good! walked out of the hotel and you're in Siam Square, with nice hip shopping! and conveniently located next to the hotel is the Siam BTS station! connected to the BTS station is Siam Paragon where the basement of small food stalls are so heavenly! haha or as yinghao would say, "orgasmic" ;p

this is our hotel!! look at the bar! and those tube things are actually soap, shampoo etc etc =) and look at the huge huge huge beds! they were soo comfortable!




















so after we checked in, and lazed around a bit, we went to Chatuchak! haha. it was, to put it in a nutshell, eventful. and definitely a day i'll forever remember!!!

the belgian waffles were so nice!!! we bought it from some stall at the BTS station.
and the fish-cake looking thing was something we ate at Chatuchak for like 40Baht? haha so cheap!! ;p and it was yummy too!! there were other nice photos of food, but they were on mich's camera.
















well, we were rather unlucky in bangkok! we seemed to drag the raincloud wherever we went! on our very first day there, the weather was really great in the early afternoon! not too hot, yet it wasnt raining - perfect day to go Chatuchak (a market place). maybe it was too perfect! cos at ard 3something bangkok time, it started to rain. and it was not the drizzling kind, it was a torrential downpour!! till the roads and streets were literally flooded! not only flooded with water, but apparently there were cockroaches as well!! =/
omg! and the worst worst most embarrasing thing happened! i was gonna cross this street in Chatuchak, and it was flooded ankle-deep. and the only thought in my mind was RUN across as fast as i can! BUT, ah, both my slippers came off as soon as i plunged my feet into the water! and they were just starting to float away by the time i turned around to try to pick them up!! i was soo embarrassed! i grabbed both my slippers and ran across the street bare-footed! omg! haha according to mich, the people around there were all laughing at me =/ oh man. what a memorable experience! haha

so yes, this is me. on the train, on the way back to our hotel. all drenched and soaked and tired.



















after we showered and changed and rested, we decided to go to MBK for dinner! so we walked through Siam Paragon, Discovery Centre etc etc, and saw this poster of a band called TVXQ! the girls were soo crazy over them! kept taking photos with the posters, and kissing the posters. omg haha

this was at Siam Paragon. some decor at the front entrance. its actually quite nice, green-leafy things. haha this photo just doesnt do justice =P















us on the bridge leading to MBK! haha we were all hungry. but yet we still stopped to take photos and shop!! ;p i think this was the night where we asked some tourists to take that photo for us. and in the end, they made us pose with them and took picture with us =P haha!





















we went to Fuji Restaurant at MBK for some cheap and nice jap food!!
the boat thing contains tonnes of Sashimi, which claire and mich gobbled up! haha the last pic is of a catepillar roll! it has Unagi inside, and avocado around it! soo YUMMY! the food there was so cheapp!! haha




















so yup, that ends day 1 of bangkok. shall blog the other few days another time =)
