i've been too lazy to update this blog.. cos firstly there's nothing to write abt! considering that my life is so boring now! =/

i went to sch in t-shirt and shorts today.. first time ever! haha cos it was only pbl.. and nothing else!!

oh went to histo lab today.. and i did so so little! it didn't help that histo's very boring to begin with.. and i don't know anything abt last sem's histo nonsense! but haha at least i now know where and what are osteoclasts, osteoblasts, osteocytes.. and how different osteocytes are from chondroblasts.. and dunno what other nonsense like epiphyseal plate..
ahhh haha and i didn't realise until today that the histo slides are actually numbered according to the boxes.. as in if the box is say box 15, then on the left side of the slides, it says 15 too! ok i know i'm dumb that i didn't realise it before..
and now i regret not paying attention in histo pract! siigh.. i was always rushing to look at the slides, and then running off for lunch.. cos histo's damn sian.. siigh guess i'm paying the price now! oh well..

ok what a boring post! i really can't wait for CAs and exams to end.. then it's the hols! i want to pass my exams! but at this rate, i doubt i can..

fun-o-rama VXIII =)

started the day with the scone haunted house, unmasked! haha it was better than ours 2 yrs ago! hahaha the guys thought they won't be scared.. but in the end they were! esp ian (who was reaally freaked out by the girl crawling on the ground), kenneth (who kepy cursing cos he was scared i think =P ) and marc (who fell down when a ghost came and scare him!) hahaha! quite hilarious! but the haunted house was gd =) yay! haha

stayed at fun-o-rama the whole day.. eating and walking ard and slacking and buying ac stuff! haha hmm and some ppl were nice enough to give me coupons =) ahhh thank you thank you! haha

oh oh! we paid to dunk dk too! haha but in the end, none of us could aim =( which was reaally sad.. and another guy (not from scone tho) dunked dk.. hahaha! but it was quite funny to see dk getting dunked!

2 yrs ago we worked like mad!
this year we walked ard and ard and ard the sch many times!
2 yrs time.. i don't know what i'll be doing =)
haha

tday was the first time ever i went to study at the anat museum with pooja shah! haha and thankfully pooja was there studying with me.. if not i would have given up and fell asleep very fast! we revised a bit of anat.. haha i felt that we did quite a bit actually.. but on hindsight, it seems quite little! haha but very gd for a start already! =)

yay! the feeling of actually accomplishing some work is quite gd! haha now i know why ppl study so hard! but studying alone's quite sian sometimes.. yay that i have pooja =) haha

what a random post..

siigh the next few weeks of my life will be studying and more studying!
but in 6weeks time, i'll be free!!! (if i pass my exams =/ )

thursday:
a study-free day! played squash in the afternoon with pooja after our tutorial.. and at the squash courts, we met other ppl, and played doubles with ks chris colin.. it was really really fun! and i enjoyed my afternoon of squash.. haha but cos it was raining.. and nus squash courts suck! the roofs actually leak! there was this puddle of water in the court, and i didn't see it and slipped on it! and thanx to the lousy nus squash courts, i now have 2 blue-blacks on my 2 knees.. haha

after that it was to church for small grp.. i thought small grp was really gd that night.. thanx to sharing by gary! it made me think quite a bit..

friday:
it's anat day.. anat lects, anat practs.. and i realise how much i do not know about anat! haha some of us tried to revise thorax and abdomen using the cadavers.. and sadly, we realise we do not know a lot! we forgot tonnes of stuff! haha even the simplest phrenic and vagus nerves.. i now know that phrenic nerve passes in front of the root of the lung.. haha right? hope so!

anyway, had driving after that! i stayed in circuit the whole time.. and it was quite fun haha.. but it was quite horrifying at first! the instructor gave me instructions in chinese! first time ever that i got a chinese-speaking instructor.. i was quite blur at first.. as in i understood what he said la.. but i kind of took a while longer to process the information! haha and my sentences in chinese were so disjointed that i was reaally embarrassed! and to think that i even forgot how to say "tennis" in chinese.. siigh.. now i know it's "wang qiu".. haha oh! back to my point about what i learnt during driving.. i learnt directional change.. and it's fun! hahaha the instructor thinks i learn quite fast.. and he let me try the crank course and s course for fun.. even tho it's not included in the subject i took today.. haha driving's such a stress-reliever.. go to the circuit/road and just signal, turn wheel, overtake, etc etc etc =)

CAs are nearing and nearing and nearing =/

hmm it's weird that one moment you -think- you're quite good friends with someone.. and the next moment, you realise you don't even talk much, and if you do, it's always the superficial hellos, and the occasional study matters.. and there's really nothing you can do about it..

and i realise today that the gossip vine is reaally scary! people just know random stuff about you.. even though you yourself don't go around perpetuating those things about yourself..

oh haha and apparently, people say fish and i are like twins.. how queer! but that's what we heard today..

what a sian-ni-fy-ing day today! =/ realise the darn CAs are like in a month's time.. time is passing too quickly!

i would love to re-live jc life over and over again..
if only..

haha had a fun driving session today.. took every opportunity to change lanes, hence my un-boring driving lesson today =)
well, i was behind a silver cab when it suddenly stopped to pick up passengers.. so i decided to be ga-rang and signal right to change to the centre lane.. haha and apparently i cut it very close, too close! according to the instructor.. cos on the way out to the centre lane, i was reaally reaally close to the silver cab! haha even though i probably wouldn't have crashed the car, the instructor was like, "u were very very close, almost going to crash!" =/ oops! hahaha but it was quite exciting! cos i think today i learnt not to give way =) and to just chiong to change lanes.. hahaha! if not u'll just wait forever and not be able to change lanes.. haha how fun! i want to go for more driving..

hmm i feel quite happy now! dunno why! i think the nice driving lesson in the afternoon contributed to this feeling.. and the fact that i can get to watch more grey's anatomy tmr =) haha yay!

ahh it's already feburary! =/ how fast! time is passing too quickly!

i've stuffed myself with so much new year goodies over the last 2 days of CNY that i'm very sure i've put on some weight =( which is a reaally sad thought!
haha anyway, this year quite a number of relatives on my mum's side shifted house.. so we ended up having to visit 3 extra places! =P which was a lot! so day 1 of CNY was quite a tiring day.. and it ended with mahjong at my uncle's place till 12midnight..
2nd day of CNY was mahjong in the evening till 12midnight again.. at my uncle's place again =)
mahjong is reaally addictive!! haha but needless to say, i lost money! not that my skills are bad.. my luck was quite bad! =P haha abt erm 5bucks over 2 days.. which is quite little! and i lost them all to my parents =( hahaha! but 5 bucks for many hrs of entertainment is actually quite worth it =)
i like hanging out with my parents and my relatives on my mum's side! they're reaally fun! and we just kept laughing and laughing throughout the whole 2 nights of mahjong! =)
haha and my ang bao collection is not bad this year.. my relatives on my mum's side suddenly increased their ang bao size =P hahaha so i was quite happy! =)

alright, enough of random CNY comments on my blog.. sorry to bore everyone.. but i enjoyed CNY! it's one of the rare times that all the family members can gather together, play mahjong and just enjoy each other's company =)

my anat group brought new year goodies and we had a CNY party at the science canteen yesterday.. and it was rather embarrassing! =P

haha colin brought yusheng.. but there wasn't carrots or radish =/ haha so someone suggested using bee hoon (which we bought from the yong tao fu stall).. and to everyone's surprise, the yusheng turned out really nice and tasty!
we invited dinesh kumar and bay for our mini CNY party and it was reaally funny when dinesh kumar and bay posed together for an "act-cute" picture (i'll post their picture once i get it from kenrick!!)
anyway, after we finished the yusheng, we proceeded on to eat the goodies.. then evange suggested that we should do the "yam-seng"! aiyo!!! haha we actually did it! and it was super embarrassing! cos everyone in the science canteen were just staring at us! =/ haha but we all had fun la.. there were sooo much pineapple tarts, kueh lapis, some indonesian crackers, biscuits, peanut-things, mini oranges etc etc that we were all so stuffed after eating the goodies that no one ate proper lunch! (except maybe only jonteh)
OH right! haha and because ks and jonteh came late for our CNY party, they had to toss the yusheng out of a small container together, and say all the nice-sounding-4-word-chinese-things, and do the yam-seng together, just the 2 of them.. hahaha! it was reaally funny! chris came the latest, and he was made to toss the yusheng all by himself too.. haha
and dr. wong was having pract lesson during our party, so we cldn't invite him to join us.. guess what we did?? haha we packed the CNY goodies in a container for him!! together with a drink and a portion of the yusheng! haha the box of packed goodies that we gave him looked reaally nice! =) haha the funniest thing was that we brought the goodies into the anat hall for him.. interrupting his anat pract lesson, and wishing him "xin nian kuai le, shen ti jian kang, sun zi man tang" =P hahaha! dr. wong looked reaally happy! guess we made his day! haha

haha was supposed to study at university spinelli's with yl after school today.. but ended up not doing much work =/
well, cos..
1. fish and jan were there too
2. ks and yl were playing some game on yl's laptop
hence, i didn't do much work cos i was talking to fish and jan =)

anyway, at the mrt station, i met my friend from church.. and was just talking to him.. i found out a lot of things about barker boys which i previously didn't know about! haha and i kept wondering to myself if my bro ever did those stuff too, like trying to play cards in front of the teacher during lessons =P hahaha quite hilarious! made me thing back to mg days.. and how guai we all were! =)

came back home and i actually went for a 15min run! haha i amaze myself at times =)

had to take a rather long walk to get from the bus stop to my 2nd tuition place today.. and as i walked for close to 15 or 20 mins, i was just thinking about stuff.. and i must say, it feels reaally nice to spend some time by myself =) haha especially since i had to walk past my ex-piano teacher's house.. i used to learn piano since young, right up to sec3.. hmm never used to like playing the piano much.. haha but as in walked past it, it brought back nice memories of how my piano teacher used to praise me cos i played a song well.. how she used to give me super tasty cheesecakes and delicious stuff to eat! haha ok useless things to remember =P but it was literally a walk down memory lane haha..

i'm beginning to discover more weird things about people each day.. haha

it was yet the annual ragging of the new j1s on saturday.. and to be part of such a long-standing tradition (some 30-40 yrs!) makes me reaally proud to be scone.. it may sound elitist and whatever, but ragging is something that brings many generations of scones together.. gives each and every scone a common and shared memory =)
haha which class would have seniors all the way till j6 coming back for ragging.. helping them sell fun-o-rama tics? =P
being there for ragging on saturday made me realise how much i miss scone.. more specifically, my class.. each batch of scones are different.. and i'm reaally glad that i was part of a class that had the scone spirit! that was proud of scone! haha.. really hope that the juniors will keep the scone traditions alive..
it was reaally great to see the seniors and the juniors once again.. not to mention, i felt reaally old there =P haha

after ragging, yl kenneth ks ian and i went to adam rd for supper =) and sometime during the whole night (dinner ragging supper and all) we were reminiscing about the time when we were ragged, about fun-o-rama, about lessons etc etc.. haha how yl and anna looked as if they were going to cry during ragging.. how kenneth became reaally pissed and stomped off cos the seniors were insulting him during ragging.. how ks didn't see the sun at all for the whole day during fun-o-rama.. how ian made so many cups of lychee ice blended at the scone cafe during fun-o-rama.. haha and we all just laughed at it =)
after jc, the memories we take away aren't those of exam marks, aren't of those who topped the class.. but rather, those small little nonsensical things that made jc life so much more fun! =)

haha it reaally brings back great memories of jc.. being ragged and ragging our juniors.. being interrogated and interrogating our juniors.. getting a taste of scone apples and scone juice.. scone flag.. fun-o-rama.. haunted house.. scone cafe.. all the birthday "surprises!".. loo, dk, kuna, pang, malini.. and of cos, the very very nice classmates that made scone so special =)
