what a lazy saturday evening.. im sprawled on the bed in the aircon room watching tv and using my laptop..
i published a really short 2 liner post in the afternoon, but decided to remove that and replace it with this happier sounding post =)
we had fish's birthday party last night.. (i'll put photos later when im feeling less lazy).. anyway, i kind of enjoyed myself, somehow.. talking nonsense to various people and laughing hard with everyone else throughout the whole night.. did feel my voice go a bit hoarse after the party ended tho..
i'll elaborate more abt fish's party when the photos are up.. but Happy 21st Birthday Fish!! thanx for being such a great friend! and for being one of the few persons who still call me "pok".. haha miss you tonnes now that i dont see you so often anymore!

i dont feel like typing anymore things, tho there are many random, disjointed thoughts in my head.. some too personal to even be on this blog.. but at this very moment, im thinking that i dont want the next week to start again cos i dont want to have to go to sch/hosp.. yup..

the holidays have gone by (in a flash!!) and the new medicine posting has started.. i came back from new york on saturday, and within 2 days, im back studying again! it certainly felt as if i did not have a holiday at all.. new york was rather enjoyable! all the visiting of museums and tourist attractions (MoMA, Met, Empire State building, the "bitch" etcetc), walking and shopping around Fifth Avenue and Broadway and SoHo, long stroll in Central Park, eating nice and exotic food, cheap milk tea, the Lion King, Six Flags, cards at night, all the laughters and crazy songs and jokes...etcetc.....and not forgetting.. Sephora! ;p thanx for such a great trip guys! somehow thinking back about the whole trip is kind of making me miss the company and the city alot! before i get all too emo and all (haha!), i shall stop and say that im glad we all went new york together.. thanx again! =) i'll miss you guys! haha

anyway, im posted to cgh (changi general hospital) for this medicine posting.. and haha, its only been 3 days of school, and i've kind of been able to be late for 2 out of 3 days =/ haha but its not so bad cos im not -that- late.. just a bit.. but traffic is terrible! tsk to the tpe! its getting too crowded! haha.. i cant decide if i like csfc or this med posting better.. maybe its too early now for me to make a decision (since med posting only started on monday).. i dunno.. i guess there really are many many pros and cons for this posting at cgh and the previous csfc posting at ttsh.. i should just give myself time to adjust and adapt again.. with a change of environment and change of cg (not that its a bad thing, really, its not!), lets see how things go in the near future =)

hello from new york!! =)
ive been in new york for 4 days, and its been great! walked around times square, union square, broadway etc on the first day, and we visited the American Museum of Natural History on the second day which was really nice especially the Cosmic Collision show! the third day (saturday) was shopping at Woodbury Common! where i spent quite a lot =/ haha scary come to think of it! and today, we had a nice nice brunch at thie French place, and then walked for hours at Central Park! =) haha i finally had nice milk tea today from this bakery place in Chinatown!!!! =) happy happy! we had nice dinner and relatively cheap dinner too!

the week started out rather slowly.. with me falling sick (and not fully recovered yet =/ ) and having thoughts about many things in my mind.. not an optimal combination those 2 things are haha.. anyway, on monday i went for driving lesson and the driving instructor said that everytime he sees me, i always look so happy and smiley! but actually that night i was feeling very sian! haha hmm i guess its just no point to show the whole world how you feel deep inside you, when no one can do anything about the cause of that feeling anyway.. but in any case, a smile is always good! =)
on wednesday i had my driving test, which i passed! yay! yes yes, i know its been ages, and ive only just passed =/ and the next day i drove all the way to al-azhah by myself.. alright, cheap thrill..
i just watched pirates and it was really just ok! shant elaborate too much on it.. but im just glad that the week kind of got better and more slack even though i became more sleepy =(
i hope next week passes quickly!! then csfc will be over!! and we'll have our break!! and hopefully after this csfc, i will be more used to clinicals, and i need to be a million times more hardworking! (say only la ;p ) haha

maybe i should have fought harder for what i wanted, maybe i should have thought more for myself.. i could come up with many more "maybe-s", but i cant go back in time to do anything, nothing is going to change..
so i should just look on the brighter side of things..

maybe.. the days will somehow get better!..

this week has been tiring, to say the least.. and my resolve to start reading the textbooks is just sadly dying.. a whole of today has gone by without me opening any textbook/notes when some end of posting assessment is coming up really soon =/
the week started out rather pleasantly and slackish, walking around town, having surprisingly nice and interesting conversations with people.. but somehow i became tired and sian toward the end of the week, which culminated in me lying awake in bed doing nothing for almost 2 hours on friday night.. must be due to the lack of sleep that ive been getting for the past week =(
seems like the upcoming week isnt looking to be any better than the last.. this week, i seriously have to sit down and open my books.. and really spend more time in the hospital.. and maybe, somehow, enjoy myself more in the hospital..
i really pray and hope that i'll have a great week ahead..

im really sleepy now after sleeping only 3 hrs last night and watching some korean drama series for the past 4 hrs!! =/ im addicted to it already! and there're many more discs to watch! hmm haha..

even though is quite late now and i was falling asleep in the cab ride home (yes kenneth, now i'll remember that i owe you money), today is definitely worth a blog =) the day started out somewhat decently, with ward rounds with a nice prof.. and spotting an eye candy along the way as well =P but tutorial after that was just plain shitty.. what a condescending and anal doctor.. his comments were rather derogatory and rude, unfitting of a doctor.. and what fake sympathy he has for his patients.. i hope he vomits till he dies! in a nutshell, he's a piece of shit!

after such a horrible tutorial, i was just hoping that the day would get better, if not i would have just remained zoned out for the later tutorial.. and well, it kind of did! haha the diva herself saw the eye candy, and is just obsessed over him (as of now!) ;p at the risk of sounding too totally bimbotic, lets just say that the day cumulated into a fantastic night.. (right, diva? ;p) but more importantly, it was the great company that mattered, that made my day!! =)

at this point in time, im just really thankful that the day somehow turned out alright, with me forgetting how upset i was in the late morning, as well as getting a rather huge surprise later at night!
please let there be better days to come! looking forward to saturday again! no hospitals! can sleep in.. shop!! woo! =)

many things to give thanks to God for today, and to be happy for! but im still having mixed feelings =/ siigh..

on a brighter note..
passed my exams..yay! it was a scary experience clicking on the button to see the result appear in front of me.. i swear my fingers were shivering as i moved the mouse and typed in my pin number.. but glad that is all over.. i have officially passed m2.. thankfully.. thanx to those who've heard me whine about not being able to finish studying, for telling me to study fasterrr!, for testing me random things along the way and then tsk-ing me when i dont remember the answer, for associating every bacteria/fungi/virus with me, for encouraging me along the way.. thanx! =)
confirmed my air ticket.. bigger YAY! =) holiday!!
met grace for dinner.. yayyyy!! haha we gave up shopping after only a short while and went to eat more food! ;p greedy pigs we were!

cant wait for tmr =) rarely have i been looking forward to the days ahead.. but there're many reasons to look forward to tmr.. the most obvious being that it is a saturday! a non-hospital-going day!! ;p

from the last time i blogged (which was april 7), many things have since happened, and many things changed.. for one, m2 pros have ended.. my whatever "break" has ended as well.. and csfc (clinical skills foundation course/elementary clinics/pre-clinics) has started..
i cant even remember what i did during the "break".. it was just too short! went shopping, slacked around a lot! and wow! after only 10 days or so, i started school again..
a week of csfc has passed.. and it has been tiring! tiring from all the standing up for hours on end during tutorials and/or ward rounds.. but i think i've learnt quite a bit this week! general history taking, cvs examination.. quite alright for a start (despite being lost in ttsh most of the time, not knowing what to do, and even ended up going over to novena square/velocity/square 2 one day!).. but i just hope that in the next 5 weeks that there will be less time wasting.. seriously, we spent more time this week waiting for things to start than actually having lects/tutorials.. haha.. i should start reading more Talley and O'conner in the next 5 weeks =/

oh no, what a seriously boring post!!

managed some shopping still despite the tiring week.. haha and i bought quite a fair bit of things.. there's sale cos of the Labour day i think! ;p

anyway, i really dislike people who are so arrogant, and think they know everything.. and always trying to impress other people.. hrmph!

i like night times..
somehow, with a quiet house, and nice music, the stress of the whole day just disappears.. things appear to move slower.. things starting to look happier.. even looking at a huge stack of notes still to be read, and the past year essay questions that seem un-doable, cant spoil the calmness of the night =)

the reality is that i have no time to finish studying.. hmm for the sake of the exams and for the sake of happier times in the future, i better stop living in my own world! and study and pass my exams!!

anyway, it was a great night that i had! =) went to the Pump room.. this place with cool optic fibre things.. the food was quite yummy! but april and i ordered some err not so great tasting thing ;p and the live band after that was really gd! haha the long-haired guy can really really really sing! he was absolutely great! i love his voice! =P mm and there was this tranny (we think) in the band who was quite huge, and looked like a ge-tai singer.. and most importantly, it was the company that was the greatest!! =) oh btw, yl drank a Waterfall ;p haha!
i promised not to post too many photos on my blog.. since -someone- says i always put fugly photos of people, and another -someone- says his face has too many pimples =P but anyway my laptop crashed, and i cant upload photos onto it.. so haha there wont be photos anytime soon i think ;p i'll blog about this night properly soon =)

im really unlucky with technologies these days.. and its not helping one bit given that exams are just around the corner.. (well, depends on how you look at this, really)
with a laptop that has most likely crashed! (there goes my songs, my tv shows, my pictures, my files.. i hope at least some are backed up already.. i doubt), and even more recently, a phone that has a shattered lcd screen.. (there goes more money, more inconvenience).. i should just live primitively for the next few days, in the age where technologies did not even exist.. and hopefully not die of boredom..

i actually decided that i didnt wanna blog for some time.. but after what has happened today, i decided that i need an avenue to rant.. this sucks.. bad things always happen at the worst times!

i wish a new phone would just drop right through my roof and land right next to me now..
